 Whimsical Woods is a developing multifaceted business, home to many dreams and passions. We are located about twenty miles west of Missoula, in the quiet valley of Huson, Montana. Preston and Tiahna are the humans of the ten acre property, and they work hard to provide a sanctuary for their four-legged friends whilst turning the land and home into something for everybody to enjoy.
 

One of our big passions is to raise and train pet mini-pigs. We naively acquired our first pig in 2019 from a craigslist breeder and it was extremely challenging as we navigated becoming pig parents with very little help. But we also fell in love with having a pet pig and she brought us so much joy. We discovered the American Mini Pig Association (AMPA) and their educational resources, and decided to get our next pig from an AMPA breeder. It was a world of difference to have actual help and advice on our new pet pig. It was very much worth the extra money to purchase a mini pig from someone who was committed to training the pig (and  the human !) and helped us to have the best outcome! Sadly, our breeder had decided to end their journey of raising mini pigs, leaving a huge hole on the map of AMPA registered breeders in the Pacific Northwest. So we decided to purchase a boar from their last litter and start the journey to become AMPA registered breeders ourselves! We commit to AMPA's strict code of ethics which has us feeling good in our hearts about becoming breeders. We are committed to educating, training, and finding the right fit for our piglets' forever homes. Our pet pigs bring us so much joy and we want to share that.
 

 We decided to not limit our business to only pet pigs. Preston loves to entertain/facilitate sober fun activities, rescue abandoned baby squirrels, build really cool and handy things, and find creative ways to re-use discarded materials. Tiahna loves to create pottery, practice yoga, care for animals, and desperately wants a hot spring in her back yard.  We are hoping to form this land and space we inhabit into a haven for all to enjoy (especially our four-legged friends).
